Say "Hello!" to Sunshine!
With inspiration from the taste of summer sunshine we got on Spring break, the swim style scene has been thriving with gorgeous new colors, cuts, and materials. To keep my favorite fashion fanatics in the know, I did a little snooping to find the top five best (and most demanded) trend alerts for your upcoming swimwear shopping.
1. High Leg
This throwback high-cut leg style will give you flashbacks to slow motion running on the beach. Whether you're ready or not, the 90's classic high leg one piece has made it's way back to the fashion forefront. I found a super adorable Baywatch reminisent "Off Duty Mermaid" graphic one piece suit from Hollister ($40) and matched it up with a pair of retro red and gold circle shades from Popmap. ($15) This look has Carmen Electra written all over it.
2. Floral / Stripes
Per usual, we're loving flirty florals and nautical stripes. Look out for plenty of variations in floral and striped designs this swimsuit season. Mix them up or pair them together! With these hot prints, it's easy to find fun ways to make trends reflect your own personal style statement.
3. High-Neck
This sporty cut makes the two-piece both comfortable and sexy. The high rise of the bikini top covers you up and makes the dreaded nip slip nightmare a fear of the past! Having fuller coverage on top gives top-heavy ladies a break from clevage control to enjoy any sunny-day activity in peace!
4. White / Metallic / Nude
Strangely enough, this year swimwear color trends have turned from the bright neon hues and focused more on neutral tones to compliment your sunkissed skin with a more subtle & natural look. But if you're looking to stay on-trend with a little edge, metallic swim is totally in for an out-of-this-world feel. I found this adorable silver "foil" metalic bikini top at Aerie ($30) where you can find the matching bottoms. Think simple for this trend! Let your skin take the spotlight.
5. Mesh
It seems as if we're seeing mesh inserts all over the place these days. From club outfits to work-out gear, this see-through tease fabric has made its way to swim 2017 trends. Try a mesh insert suit for comfortable coverage that leaves just a little less to the imagination.
